With safety a foremost priority, Fisher & Sons has developed a dynamic approach to safety with a comprehensive Safety Management Program. Designed to instill in all team members a strong awareness of safe jobsite practices, the key components to Fisher’s safety program are:
Clearly Defined Safety Policies. All employees and subcontractors are required to follow the policies which are outlined in the Fisher Companies Safety Manual. These policies meet or exceed industry standards and apply to a wide range of situations which may arise in the pursuit of our business. Fisher's safety program encompasses many topics including hazard awareness, emergency preparedness and site-specific protection plans.
Continual Communication of Safety Policies. Safety awarenes in continually reinforced throughout the entire workforce. Safety orientation meetings are held for all employees at each new job site, along with weekly jobsite safety meetings and ongoing equipment training programs as the project progresses.
Maintaining a safe work environment is every employees’ responsibility. The jobsite superintendant leads the safety team. Procedures and accident prevention measures are monitored by our safety coordinator, who oversees safety policies and practices at all Fisher & Sons job sites.
Fisher & Sons Safety Management Program meets or exceeds the requirements of the following industry organizations and federal and state programs:
